The Associations

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy International BCTI

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy International (BCTI) is an international association of training schools maintaining the highest standards in the education and practice of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST).

Training Standards:
* Minimum 700 total hours
* At least 320 hours of in-class attendance
* 150 hours of independent home practice
* Additional self-study and supervision
* Graduates receive a lifetime diploma in BCST with no need for annual renewal or additional fees
* Advanced Diploma in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (ADB) available after additional postgraduate studies (P.G)

Therapeutic Approach:

BCST is based on inherent natural forces that release patterns and organize the body’s living and functional systems. Developed by Dr. William Sutherland, it works with subtle rhythms in the body that bring order and integration. The practice honors pioneering teachers (Sutherland, Becker, Sills, Jealous) while integrating modern developments in trauma, neuroscience, fascia research, embryology, and body-mind practices.

Core Principle:

An innate intelligence in every person continuously seeks health and balance. Practitioners support this natural tendency through non-invasive treatment.

Organizational Structure:
* Non-profit, cooperative model
* Decentralized operations
* Council of schools makes policy decisions collectively
* Each school operates independently under agreed-upon principles
* Schools handle registration and complaints independently
* BCTI maintains a register of certified practitioners

Israeli Massage and Bodywork Professionals Association IMBA

The Israeli Massage Professionals Association was established in 1992 with the goal of bringing together massage therapists from across the country to create a supportive and inclusive community. Through collaborative work, we strive to raise the standards of the profession and ensure that massage therapy is recognized as a valuable and reputable field in Israel. Through our bylaws, we set high standards for our members and ensure they receive the education and training necessary to provide the best treatment to their clients.

We also provide a platform for our members to connect and share their knowledge, so we can continue to develop and grow as a community.

We believe that by working together and supporting one another, we can positively impact the massage profession in Israel.

We invite you to join us on this journey and help us build a strong and united community.

Recent Update:

In November 2025, following a majority decision at the quarterly conference, the association’s name was changed to “Israeli Massage and Bodywork Professionals Association”.

Since then, we have been in a formal legal process

to update the name and logo to reflect the new name.

Additionally, the association has expanded to include bodywork modalities and schools that train in bodywork professions, including trauma practitioners.
